Bekform 400 mcg Rotacap(Beclometasone, Formoterol)

 

Bekform is a tab made by Cipla Ltd. whose main ingredient is Beclometasone and Formoterol. These two salts are present in different concentrations as beclometasone is 400mcg and Formoterol is 6mcg. These are used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Basically Beclometasone  is a steroids and gets absorbed into the cells of inner surface of nose. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers which causes inflammation and allergies. Formoterol acts as a bronchodilator and works by relaxing the muscle in the airways and widens it which makes breathing easier.

Side effects associated with are Respiratory tract infection, vomiting, fungal infections in the mouth, headache, hoarseness of voice, etc.
